From Beyond Movie Review

A gruesome, tongue-in-cheek flick based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft that goes way beyond its source material with highly original, occasionally shocking special effects. Two scientists discover a way to tap into another dimension by fooling around a vibrating whatchamacallit that stimulates the human pineal gland. One of them turns into a rather amazing monster. Another guy is devoured by bees and gigantic worm-like beasties turn up in the basement. Hero Jeffrey Combs must battle his transformed colleague, who in addition to a grotesque new body now has an unpleasant array of super-powers. From the makers of Re-Animator, and just as funny and unpredictable. An amazing rollercoaster-ride that never lets up for a single ghoulish second.
