Forever Young Movie Review
When test pilot Mel Gibson's girlfriend is hit by a car and goes into a coma, he volunteers to be cryogenically frozen for one year. Oops! – he's left frozen for fifty years, until he is accidentally thawed out by a couple of kids. Predictable, designed to be a tearjerker, though it serves mostly as a star vehicle for Gibson who bumbles with ‘90s technology, finds his true love, and escapes from government heavies, adorable as ever. Through all the schmaltz, the relationship Gibson develops with the young Elijah Wood turns out to be the most authentic and endearing love in the film.
