Escape from Planet Earth Movie Review

As Red Chinese blow up Earth (probably with a bicycle pump; such is the budget), a co-ed crew of astronauts rocket toward an uncertain future in deep space. Soon petty rivalries and claustrophobia take their toll. Lousy f/x take their own toll on a quaint cast – dig song-and-dance man Bobby Van as a hep-cat survivor – and the abrupt ending came about because the clueless production ran out of money. Later, doubles in spacesuits were posed for a quickie epilogue. AKA: The Doomsday Machine. WOOF!
