Endless Descent Movie Review

Made at the height of the none-too-brief underwater monster fad that Hollywood went through, this one's actually not bad. The sub Siren II is sent to investigate the disappearance of the original Siren and, to nobody's surprise, they find something evil lurking on the ocean floor. R. Lee Ermey is the by-the-book commanding officer; Jack Scalia is the ship's designer; Deborah Adair is his estranged wife. Several others are on hand, too, but few make it to the last reel. The pace is brisk and the critter is fun. A Spanish film, shot in English, by director J. P. Simon, whose other works of art include Pieces and Slugs. AKA: La Grieta.

1990 (R) 79m/C SP Jack Scalia, R. Lee Ermey, Ray Wise, Deborah Adair, Ely Pouget, John Toyles-Bey; D: J. Piquer Simon; W: David Coleman. VHS, Beta, LV LIV
