Encounter at Raven's Gate Movie Review

Life on an unhappy Australian farm is made even more miserable by sudden, deadly flyovers by (unseen) extraterrestrials. In lieu of a Spielberg-sized budget, director Rolf de Heer goes for sheer suspense and terror of the unknown, incomprehensible visitors. Some of it works, but the aimless plot gets tangled up in tangents about misunderstood punk rockers and brutal cops. A nice try. AKA: Incident at Raven's Gate.
