Embryo Movie Review

Rock Hudson looks uncomfortable as a scientist who salvages a human fetus, treating it with genetic serum that creates a fully mature, intelligent, beautiful test-tube woman (Barbara Carrera) in a matter of days. After her ‘birth,’ things look upbeat for the happy couple–until the side effects. An average sci-fi drama with roots in the Frankenstein story (and Germany's Alraune tales of lab-created femme fatales), this plods along predictably until a finale that's truly shocking and ghastly compared with the blandness that preceded it. AKA: Created to Kill.
