Earth Vs. the Spider Movie Review

Man-eating giant mutant…well, if you can't tell what it is from the title, there's no hope for you. It's discovered in a cave, eats alcoholics, and makes life miserable for a small town in general and high school partiers in particular. Exterminators are called in to kill the beast, after which it's hauled into the high school gym. But wouldn't you know it–the monster is revived by rock and roll. The laconic Mid-westerners don't seem particularly surprised to find gigantic arachnids running loose. Silly old drive-in fare is agony for many, camp treasure for a precious few. Retitled to cash in on the success of Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers. Bert I. Gordon made many films that were much worse than this one. AKA: The Spider.
