Doctor Who and the Daleks Movie Review

A silly feature adapted from the popular BBC series, with Peter Cushing playing the Doctor as an absent-minded old (human) inventor. The Doctor, his two granddaughters, and the older girl's boyfriend accidentally transport themselves to a barren planet inhabited by the Daleks, mutant creatures in protective robotic suits. The travelers must help the friendly, pacifistic Thals throw off the threat of Dalek tyranny. Obviously aimed at children, this is a good-natured but rather simple-minded film that will leave fans of the TV series disappointed or bewildered. Followed by the superior Daleks – Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.
