Death Race (2000) Movie Review



In the 21st century, a leather-suited David Carradine is the defending champion of the nationally televised Transcontinental Death Race, in which participants score points for running over pedestrians. His challengers include Sylvester Stallone as Machine Gun Joe Viterbo, Mary Woronov as Calamity Jane, and Roberta Collins as Mathilda the Hun. A year later, Stallone would become a Hollywood contender with the Oscar-winning Rocky. Based on the 1956 story by lb Melchior, and followed by Deathsport. Made for television.
