Day of the Triffids Movie Review

The majority of Earth's population is blinded by a meteor shower. As if this isn't bad enough, it also causes plant spores to mutate into giant mobile carnivores. The plants look like big shaggy cornstalks, with poisonous whip-like tentacles. Howard Keel, who managed to retain his sight, fights to survive in a hostile new world. Well-done entry in the World Apocalypse category, adapted from John Wyndham's (The Midwich Cuckoos) classic novel.
