the Space Monster Dagora Movie Review

Gangsters with incredibly silly voices tangle with a giant, slimy, pulsating whatsit from space that eats diamonds. Meanwhile, a group of scientists with slightly less silly voices join together in a massive effort to destroy the critter. This really isn't the best Japanese monster movie ever made, and the voices dubbed in for the U.S. version are particularly bad – coming from the grim-faced villains, they sound more like second-rate cartoon-characters than hardened criminals. Nonetheless, the movie's unusual blending of the gangster and monster genres makes it rather memorable. From Inoshiro Honda, director of the Godzilla films. AKA: Dagora; Space Monster Dagora; Uchudai Dogora; Uchu Daikaiiju Dogora.
