The Hugo Winners Movie Review



Every year, the World Science Fiction Convention (informally known as “Worldcon”) confers the “Hugo” award to novels, short stories, and films judged to be of unusual merit. Named after pioneer science-fiction editor Hugo Gernsback, the Hugo is the most prestigious award that can be bestowed on a work of science fiction – it's the “Oscar” of sf.



In 1960, a dramatic presentation award was added to the list of Hugo categories. Usually given to film, the presentation Hugo has also been awarded to science-fiction TV shows like Star Trek and on one occasion news coverage of Apollo XI.

Following is a chronological list of films and shows that have won the Dramatic Presentation Hugo since the its inception. There were several years in which no award was given. These are some of the best science-fiction films and television shows ever made.
