Critters Movie Review

One of the better Gremlins imitations. Hairy, fast-growing, faster-eating little alien “Krites” crash to Earth with a pair of shape-shifting, blast-happy galactic bounty hunters right behind them. Both terrorize a farm family in a small Kansas community. Don Opper (Android) is especially fun as a Barney Fife-type deputy who gets on the case. Smart and sarcastic sci-fi action that doesn't push the intrinsic gore to extremes, though the franchise has worn out its welcome with increasingly inferior sequels. Drolly subtitled Krite dialogue culminates in the devouring of an E.T. doll.
