The Companion Movie Review

A 21st-century romance novelist rents remote mountain cabin to write and get over a broken love affair. For assistance and solace she brings a lifelike robot named Geoffrey (Bruce Greenwood). Tinkering with Geoffrey's programming turns him from domestic guardian to devoted lover, but cranked up too high the machine becomes a lethally obsessed Mr. Wrong. Well-acted cable-TV thriller avoids the smirks one might expect, but grows more predictable as it goes along.
