The Black Hole Movie Review
What is mad scientist Maximilian Schell up to as his starship sits at the edge of a black hole? Lots of nasty robots and abominable dialogue provide the answers in this Disney space adventure. Throwback sf recalls Forbidden Planet and even the studio's own 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Fine matte paintings by Peter Ellenshaw create a dark, mysterious atmosphere. Despite the glaring flaws in this creaky vehicle, kids will probably enjoy the effects and the good “cute” robots.
