The Astounding She-Monster Movie Review

How can you not love a movie with a title like this? A bad script and snail-paced plot are a good start. Robert Clarke is a geologist wanting only to be left alone with his rocks and his dog who survives a brush with the kidnappers of a wealthy heiress only to happen upon an alien spacecraft that's crashed nearby. At the helm is a very tall, high-heeled femme alien fatale in an obligatory skintight space outfit and very scary eyebrows. What's not to love? Well, it seems that Miss Galaxy can kill with the slightest touch. With voiced-over narration to help explain the plot. For connoisseurs of truly bad movies; all others should approach with caution! Partially remade by Fred Olen Ray in 1989 as Alienator. AKA: Mysterious Invader.

1958 60m/B Robert Clarke, Kenne Duncan, Marilyn Harvey, Jeanne Tatum, Shirley Kilpatrick, Ewing Miles Brown; D: Ronnie Ashcroft; W: Frank Hall. VHS SNC, MRV, CNM
