Abbott and Costello Go to Mars Movie Review

But they don't. Loose-plotted slapstick finds the comedy duo as workmen accidentally launched aboard a rocket ship. First it lands near New Orleans during Mardis Gras, where A&C mistake marching mummers for monstrous Martians. Then they soar into space, hitting not Mars but Venus, where Miss Universe finalists play an Amazon race who haven't seen a man in 400 years. Vintage f/x are surprisingly sharp, and the scriptwriters knew enough about sci fi to dump the term ‘positronic brain’ in amid all the outdated buffoonery.
