Thy Will Be Done Thy Kingdom Come Movie Review

Among the more intriguing entries at 1987's Mill Valley Film Festival was Antony Thomas’ excellent documentary, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done. Originally intended as a Frontline special, but canceled prior to its May 1987 telecast, the film focuses on the significant relationship between Christian fundamentalists and right-wing politicians. Thomas’ film provides a rich, detailed investigation of his controversial subjects, and his soft-spoken, veddy British interviewing style clearly soothes the fundamentalists into revealing themselves in ways they never would if his approach were more combative. (Antony Thomas is also credited as director on 1990's Code Name: Chaos.)
