32 Short Films about Glenn Gould was well received when it was first released, but for the uninitiated (yours truly), the structure of the film was too broken up for me to get a clear portrait of its subject. It's a decidedly different approach to film biography, but I left the film with the famed piano player (1932–82) being as much of a mystery as ever.
