The Ghost Goes West Movie Review

Robert Donat plays a dual role here as Murdoch and Donald Ghourie. Eugene Pallette is Joe Martin, who wants to buy a Scottish castle and take it home with him to Florida. Jean Parker is Joe's pretty daughter, Peggy. The only thing is the ghost has to stay with the castle, so when Joe and Peggy leave with their new purchase, the ghost goes with them. With Robert Sherwood and Geoffrey Kerr as screenwriters and the great Rene Clair at the helm, The Ghost Goes West promised to be very special, and it was. The fine supporting cast adds to the fun and you haven't lived ‘til you've seen Eugene Pallette in a kilt!
